Children’s Church

Matthew 19:14 records, “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We believe that each child is extremely loved, uniquely made, and gifted by God. We cherish them and the opportunity to serve them, be that Sunday mornings or Tuesday nights. We follow Plan to Protect guidelines.

Children’s Ministry is provided for infants and up to 8 years of age every Sunday morning after worship in song and pastoral prayer.

Students aged 9-14 have Sunday school on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.

AWANA

AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” based on 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

KAC runs an Awana program on Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm from September until early May. Registration information and more details about Awana are available here. Awana is an internationally known kids’ program that has been active at our church for more than 30 years.  The program is designed for kids age 3 to grade 8 with an emphasis on fun and learning God’s Word.  The programs involve Bible verse memorization, sports and activities, and council time.

Nursery

The KAC Nursery Zone provides childcare every Sunday morning for babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age. Volunteers are available when the children are dismissed from the Sunday service, after worship in song.

VOLUNTEERS: All of KAC’s volunteers who work with children are expected to have a current police background check (including the “Vulnerable Sector” section) and to obtain Plan to Protect training. The $40 fee for police checks will be reimbursed by KAC.
