Kingdom Kids

Matthew 19:14 records, “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We believe that each child is a “Kingdom Kid,” extremely loved, uniquely made, and gifted by God. We cherish them and the opportunity to serve them, be that Sunday mornings or Tuesday nights. We follow Plan to Protect guidelines.

Kingdom Kids is provided for infants to grade 3 every Sunday morning after worship in song and pastoral prayer.

Kingdom Kids’ Programs:

Ages 0-3: Bible Bees: These busy little bees are learning how God’s word, the Bible, is as sweet as honey and to share this joy with each person they meet.

SK-Gr 3: Bible Explorers: These excited Bible enthusiasts are exploring the entire Bible in order to discover God’s unfolding story.

We look forward to expanding the Kingdom Kids’ programs to include older age groups in the near future. (Helpers would be greatly appreciated!)

VOLUNTEERS: All of KAC’s volunteers who work with children are expected to have a current police background check (including the “Vulnerable Sector” section) and to obtain Plan to Protect training. The $40 fee for police checks will be reimbursed by KAC.

AWANA

AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” based on 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

KAC runs an Awana program on Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm from September until early May. Registration information and more details about Awana are available here. Awana is an internationally known kids’ program that has been active at our church for more than 30 years.  The program is designed for kids age 3 to grade 8 with an emphasis on fun and learning God’s Word.  The programs involve Bible verse memorization, sports and activities, and council time.

Sparks: SK to Grade 2
T&T:  Grades 3-6
Trek:  Grades 7-8
